Any family can encounter difficult times, struggling to make ends meet. Often, homelessness is just the visible symptom of a host of underlying and complex issues.

At The Roberts Centre, we are committed to addressing these challenges head-on, helping families not only survive but also find hope and achieve positive outcomes.

Your support plays a vital role in this mission, particularly during the Christmas season, which can be especially tough for those facing hardship.

Family Friends started with a simple idea from one of our supporters and thanks to the kindness and care of such generous people, we are able to bring some joy and relief to these vulnerable families.

Such contributions have been a source of comfort to many, and any efforts you can make towards this project will not go unnoticed.

This year, as we prepare to continue the Family Friends Project, we invite you to sign up and participate once more. With your help, we can extend our support to even more families who find themselves with limited choices and in need of a helping hand. Together, we can make a tangible difference in their lives during this challenging time.

"Having very little money means you're always worrying about how to make it last. Just imagine how tough that must feel when you've got kids and Christmas is around the corner. Seeing all the shops full of things you can't afford must make you feel like you're on the outside looking in."

So, we asked the Roberts Centre to recommend a family. We were given just the basics – first names, ages of the kids, and a few likes. Then, we bought Christmas presents for the children, including new pyjamas, and Christmas food for the whole family.

Last year, we wanted to give them a bit of breathing room in January, so we provided some everyday essentials – groceries, soap powder, washing-up liquid, toiletries – you know, all the things we throw in our shopping trolley without even thinking. Everything we give comes from "Father Christmas."
