About Our Afghan Relocation Assistance Policy

The Afghan Relocations and Assistance Policy (ARAP) is a UK Government scheme for Afghan citizens who worked alongside the UK Government in Afghanistan in eligible roles. Individuals who meet the eligibility criteria are offered relocation to the UK by the Ministry of Defence and, following the appropriate checks are granted permission to settle by the Home Office.

The Roberts Centre supports ARAP families as they transition into life in the UK. Many arrive needing support to establish every aspect of daily life, including enrolling children in school, registering with healthcare services, accessing local support networks and understanding the services available to them.

Our team works closely with each family to help them build financial stability, develop the skills and confidence to live independently, and successfully manage their own tenancy. The aim is to support families to settle comfortably into their new community and become confident in navigating life in the UK. Eligible candidates can contact home office to initiate referral.
